PEFCR Workshop Day

Introducing Sustainable Credibility 

ESTC is happy to announce that the PEFCR workshop will be held on December 12, 2023 in Brussels at the Hilton Hotel Grand Place. This will be an informative session for ESTC members only. The workshop will focus on updating attendees about the PEFCR project, which is led by ESTC and aims to calculate the environmental footprint of synthetic turf systems. This EU-funded project started in 2020 and is set to be finalized by the end of this year.

Software tool for PEF impact calculation
At the request of ESTC, a software tool is being developed to facilitate the use of the PEF Category Rules, which will be presented during the workshop. This tool will assist members in understanding and implementing the PEFCR effectively.

Speaker from the European Commission confirmed
Mr Mauro Cordella from the European Commission’s Environmental Footprint (DG Environment) team has accepted our invitation to present the Commission’s view on the PEF concept and how this will be implemented. This will be a unique opportunity to address all your questions to the Commission directly.

Networking event at Brewdog on December 11
On December 11, we will organise a networking evening event at Brewdog, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect and build relationships within the industry.

DISCOVER THE NEW EN STANDARD FOR SHOCKPADS – ESTC WEBINAR – 10 OCTOBER 2023

On October 10, ESTC, the voice for the synthetic turf industry in the EMEA region, will be organising a webinar that will delve into the intricacies of the newly introduced EN standard for shockpads.

Shockpads are becoming increasingly important in synthetic turf systems and their role  has evolved to enhance the performance, safety, and longevity of such systems.

This webinar is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the standard’s implications and its significance for the industry.   On top of that, the sport governing bodies will  explain how they see the increasing use of shockpads in the synthetic turf systems they endorse.   And finally, the importance of shockpads in the North-American market will be addressed.

CLIP Training Day – November

CLIP was developed to promote industry-recognized best practices for landscape synthetic turf installation. It is specifically designed for qualified individuals who are currently employed in the landscape synthetic turf industry who are seeking education and recognition for their expertise and experience in landscape synthetic turf installation.

The training is intended for experienced installers. Participants are required to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in synthetic turf installation. Additionally, they should have been involved in more than 20 projects, which indicates a significant level of practical experience in this field.

By setting these criteria, the CLIP program ensures that participants have a solid foundation of knowledge and hands-on experience in landscape synthetic turf installation.  This approach helps maintain high standards within the industry and ensures that participants gain valuable insights and expertise through the programme.

The CLIP training will take place on November 16, 2023 (Weert, The Netherlands) and will be held in Dutch.

Participation fee – ESTC Members – 275 €
