The environment is an issue that concerns our society, which is why Realturf works every day to offer the most sustainable options along with great quality and variety of colors so that your garden becomes your favorite place to reconnect with nature.
On a daily routine they must make so many decisions, but when it comes to selecting the right artificial grass for your space you should not have to choose between sustainability and quality. That is why Realturf has a circular way of thinking and believing, where your dreams are made compatible with a better sustainable environment for you and your loved ones.
Realturf’s philosophy is simple. Truly committed to circular production. Realturf already has its own range of 100% recyclable products thanks to its backing made from polyolefins, which is also Zero Waste certified, affirming its commitment to zero waste production. In addition, some of their products are GRS certified, which ensures that their fibers contain more than 20% recycled material.
Nowadays, the reality is that we are not able to waste water either., enough reason for them to work for many years on monitoring the liters saved thanks to each meter of Realturf artificial grass installed. If you want to know more about how much water you are going to save with Realturf artificial grass, you can use with the water calculator that appears on their website.
Realturf wanted to go even further. Their team has launched its new product B.Pure, which becomes a perfect sanitizer to maintain a sustainable space in your home, your business or public spaces. Once the product is applied, you continue to see the artificial grass as green as it was, since it is totally transparent.
With B.Pure you will not only be able to keep safe your favorite place in your home, free of viruses, bacteria, fungi and bad smells, but you will also be able to purify the air and improve its quality by up to 23.5%, thanks to its photocatalytic effect that in contact with oxygen manages to eliminate a large part of the ammonia, VOC and NOx – the main causes of deaths from respiratory diseases – all without toxic substances, which makes it a 100% safe product for everyone.
In addition, with the support of a helping society, a few years ago they created the Socialturf initiative, where every year they participate in social activities, donating artificial turf and environmental activities such as reforestation, beach clean-ups and studies on marine waste. The latest projects are necessary to offset the impact of the carbon footprint.
What is Realturf’s commitment to recyclability?
Realturf likes to make the “R” in “reduce” a reality, so many of their products have their LongLife technology, which certifies that you can enjoy their products for many years. But, most important, you can surely help towards a greener world because at the end of its useful life, the grass can be turned into a new product thanks to its recyclability.
As we have mentioned before, Realturf is committed to circular production, that is why they have developed their new Everback backing made of polyols, which makes it easy to recycle as it is made of the same material as the artificial grass fibers. This will ensure that after its 10 to 20 years of normal useful life (and always depending on its care) it can be totally recycled through a shredding process.
In addition, their most eco-friendly products have the GRS certification, which certifies that they contain more than 20% of recycled material, giving a new life to other materials. And thanks to the mechanical process and manufacturing in Crevillente (Alicante), they manage to carry out an exhaustive control of all the stages in the product value chain, thus reducing the emissions derived from transport.
Can artificial turf be environmentally friendly?
Artificial grass is made of plastic materials, however, in Realturf they care about the environment so they use a reusable plastic that, after its useful life, can be recycled.
With artificial grass you can save water, chemicals and fertilizers, avoiding unnecessary pollution and waste of water and reconnecting with nature and yourself.
