Polytan shows its versatility in the Far East

2013 is one of the most successful years in China for Polytan and its long-standing partner company, C. Melchers GmbH & Co. From the north of China to the neighbouring country of Myanmar, several projects drawing on the entire Polytan product portfolio have already been implemented this year, from hockey pitches and Polytan|STI football pitches to a variety of circular running track systems.

Polytan fitted out two stadiums in Nay Pyi Taw City (Myanmar) with WS running tracks back in January, followed in September by the installation of a further WS track in Mandalay for the South-East Asian Games 2013.

In May, a two-tone LigaTurf football pitch was laid and the installed running track renewed at Beijing Jiaotong University (China). After the running track at Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics last year, this is the second track in brilliant Hertha Blue that Polytan has installed in Beijing.

In tandem with this, work began in May on two projects in Dalian (China) for the China National Games, which are due to be held in September 2013. At Liaoning Maritime Sports School  the Polytan team installed two MegaTurf Cool Plus hockey pitches, one of which is certified to FIH Global standards – a first for Polytan in China. The facility has also been extended by two further Poligras hockey pitches by STI. When it comes to running tracks, those in charge have also opted for Polytan: at Dalian Sports Center they have installed a circular track in the main stadium, a warm-up track and two indoor areas – nearly 30,000m2 of the Polytan M system in total. What’s more, the circular track in the main stadium is IAAF Class I-certified.

With outstanding references and the benefit of experience gained during the entire project phase, Polytan/Polytan|STI and their local teams have once again proven to be reliable partners for the best sports facilities in China. The foundation for a successful 2013/2014 season has been laid.
