The Swiss Football Association (SFA) is the umbrella organisation of national football. It was founded in 1895 and in 1904 was one of the seven national associations that founded the world football association FIFA. Today, the SFA is one of the country’s most important sports organisations. The SFA is organised into three sections and has 1,389 clubs, 14,206 teams and 273,644 licensed players. The association is based at the Haus des Fussballs in Muri and Dominique Blanc has been its president since 1 July 2019.
