Members should consider entering if they have supported projects that have helped areas of deprivation that have led to major turnarounds in the facility’s use, the activity of local residents, the formation of new sports clubs etc. Projects that led to greater inclusion for diverse groups within a locality should also be considered for entry as well as projects whereby the members know the installation of synthetic turf has created major new opportunities for local residents.
Professional Club Award
As increasing numbers of professional clubs install synthetic playing surfaces, which clubs have had the most positive impact on the industry and the perception of their peers and contemporaries in promoting the benefits of using synthetic turf? Members should enter club projects whereby their installation has led to a more positive view of synthetic turf within professional sport.
As a technology focused industry, the strides taken to improve all aspects of synthetic turf is key in maintaining excellence and driving the industry forwards. New technologies centred on product design, installation techniques, ease of maintenance, increased durability or cost reduction should all be nominated as well as wider developments and other new to market technologies that will ultimately shape the future of the industry.
