ESTO Football Awards 2014

The ESTO Football Awards is a chance to showcase excellence and celebrate the success of ESTO members in driving forwards the synthetic turf industry and in doing so creating a series of landmark, best in class, professionally focused and community enhancing projects.

Taking place on Thursday 5th June 2014 in Istanbul and after the ESTO Congress, the ESTO Football Awards can only be entered by members and will be voted for by key individuals from the leading European football associations and leagues.

The awards are a great way for our members to be recognised by their peers, as well as the associations and leagues. All winners will be presented with magnificent ESTO Awards, will be featured in press releases sent post event as well as receiving bespoke ESTO Award Winners logos for their category to use on company literature, website, press releases and other company PR and marketing materials.

To enter the awards please submit the project details, a 200-500 word synopsis of the project and / or installation as well as any accompanying imagery. 

Deadline for entry is Wednesday 30th April 2014, please make sure you enter as soon as possible by emailing footballawards@theesto.com

Award categories

Community Award
The Community Award is designed to showcase the very best projects that have had a positive impact on the local community and residents. Members should consider entering if they have supported projects that have helped areas of deprivation that have led to major turnarounds in the facility’s use, the activity of local residents, the formation of new sports clubs etc. Projects that led to greater inclusion for diverse groups within a locality should also be considered for entry as well as projects whereby the members know the installation of synthetic turf has created major new opportunities for local residents.

Professional Club Award
As increasing numbers of professional clubs install synthetic playing surfaces, which clubs have had the most positive impact on the industry and the perception of their peers and contemporaries in promoting the benefits of using synthetic turf? Members should enter club projects whereby their installation has led to a more positive view of synthetic turf within professional sport.

Technology Award
As a technology focused industry, the strides taken to improve all aspects of synthetic turf is key in maintaining excellence and driving the industry forwards. New technologies centred on product design, installation techniques, ease of maintenance, increased durability or cost reduction should all be nominated as well as wider developments and other new to market technologies that will ultimately shape the future of the industry.

European Football Associations and Leagues Award
Voted for by the members, which will take place in February, the winner will be the Association or League that has contributed most positively to the use of synthetic turf across all aspects of their work whether this be the professional game or grass roots community football.

Lifetime Achievement Award
Voted for by the members, which will take place in February, the lifetime achievement award is designed to celebrate the achievements of an individual who has helped shape the industry, creating a positive impact throughout and leading to the continued use of synthetic turf.
